- In order to update the MAC address on the build-in USB Ethernet Adapter to solve the problem of computer(s) connected not being able to access to the network via the gigabit wired network connection through the KVM, which requires a computer running Window 10/11 system.
2.The laptop needs to be powered by the original power supply adapter and in the charging state.
Step 1: Establish connection between the KVM and computer
Please keep the KVM in working condition, and connect a computer to the KVM using a single USB-C cable or a USB-A to USB-B cable.
- MST KVM switches with USB-C interface: Use a single USB-C cable to connect the USB-C port on the laptop and the PC1 Input A port on the KVM.
2.KVM switches with other interfaces: Use a single USB cable to connect the USB-A port on the computer and the USB-B input port on the KVM.
Step 2: Update the MAC address
- To download the Tool package and right-click on the software and choose "Run as administrator,"
2.You will find that the NIC chip is recognized with 00:00:00:00:00:00 as the default MAC address.
3.Click the “Program” to update the MAC address
After you have successfully upgraded the first input port by following the above steps, you can follow the same steps to upgrade the next input port until all input port groups have been upgraded.
Step 3: Disconnect the computer from the KVM, power off the KVM and then reboot to complete the update process.
